RE: This portfolio
From: Stephen J. Augustus III - Curator, Microbiology themed art-like object Museum. Chants-Elysees, Paris, France
Bonjour and welcome to the exciting world of microbiology themed art like objects. It is a world where nothing is what it seems, and everything is what it appears to be. A world where microorganisms, specifically photomicrographs of molds and bacteria, serve as the foundation for the creation of various things (objects) that some unusual individuals might consider art. Their creator calls these objects "art like" because of their generally poor quality and his lack of any appreciable artistic talent. This artist like individual is a man by the name of Daniel R. DeMarco, Ph.D. Many art critics consider him to be in at least the top ten of all ten artists globally who specialize in mold art, with some placing him as high as number 8 or 9. Despite those accolades, and his ever growing reputation in the white hot mold art market, very few have heard of this relative newcomer to the art like art scene. It is hoped that publication of this portfolio will help to change that. In these pages Dr. DeMarco presents a tour de force of art like objects that showcase the entire range of his impressive array of talents. They each in their own way reveal the depths of his expertise in a variety of art like object forms, including photomicrographs and photomicrographs modified on computers to look like things he believes rich kids would like to beg their parents to buy for them and Disney/Pixar would like to license for at least six figures to serve as the basis for a new CGI franchise mega blockbuster that would rival Toys or one of those other CGI franchises beloved by both children and their parents for which Disney/Pixar is known to almost everyone but Dr. DeMarco, who's memory often fails him, especially when it comes to recalling movie names.. Sacre-bleu that was quite a run on, wasn't it. Que fromage. In any case enjoy the following pages.
